About this event

The focus of this 'Virtual' Birmingham Safeguarding Adult Partnership Event is Self Neglect.

Presentations will include :

  • Self Neglect from a National Perspective as well as learning from safeguarding adult review outside of Birmingham
  • Learning from Adult 4 Review
  • Learning from Stephen Review
  • Introducing a new Self Neglect Guidance and Process for Birmingham

The intention of the Safeguarding Adults Partnership Network as always is focussed on what we can achieve as partners to share best practice, hearing from people with lived experience to understand any gaps we may have, and to support our ambition of keeping the most vulnerable people free from harm and neglect.

Note that details for joining the virtual event will be sent following the closing date for bookings.

The job of the Board is to make sure that there are arrangements in Birmingham that work well to help protect adults with care and support needs from abuse.

To do this the board must listen to the voice of the people of Birmingham to find out what they know and what they need to protect the most vulnerable people in their communities.
